What tennis racket is Coco Gauff using at French Open 2025? All you need to know

Coco Gauff booked her spot in the final of the French Open 2025 to continue her impressive string of performances throughout the clay swing. She ousted reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys on her way to the summit clash. This will be her second appearance in the title round, following her previous runner-up finish in 2022.

Gauff has been in fine form during the clay court Major, dropping only one set en route to the final. She has outplayed the competition so far thanks to her trusted weapon of choice, the Head Boom MP 2024 range of rackets. She has stuck with this line for a long time, though she upgraded to a modified version of the same starting from last year.

The 21-year-old’s current Head Boom MP 2024 range features 16 main and 19 cross strings and the latest upgrade to the line comes with Auxetic 2.0 technology. The wider shape of the racket allows users to hit their shots with ease, without compromising on the spin generation and power.

The head size is 100 square inches, while it weighs 10.4 oz. It is 27 inches in length and the beam width is 24 millimeters. While Gauff is using the Head Boom MP 2024 line of rackets, the actual racket is specifically customized to her needs and isn't available for sale to the public. She will aim to wield her weapon with finesse to capture her second Major title on Saturday.

Coco Gauff will take on World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the French Open 2025. The young American is contesting the third Major final of her career in singles. She came up short in her very first Grand Slam final at the French Open 2022, losing to Iga Swiatek in straight sets.

Gauff tasted success on her second try, beating Sabalenka in the US Open 2023 final to capture the biggest title of her career. She now finds herself in familiar territory, having advanced to her second championship round in Paris.

Gauff has been in excellent form in recent weeks, though she has faltered at the final hurdle. She took on Sabalenka in the Madrid Open final and lost in straight sets. A similar fate awaited her in the Italian Open final two weeks later, going down to Jasmine Paolini in the summit clash. She will be keen to avoid a repeat of her last two finals and walk away as the victor this time.
