What tennis racket is Aryna Sabalenka using at French Open 2025? All you need to know

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka stormed into the final of the French Open 2025 with a 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-0 win over three-time defending champion Iga Swiatek. She’s through to her first final in Paris and the sixth Major final of her career. She also became the first woman to reach three consecutive Major finals since Serena Williams achieved the feat in 2016.

Sabalenka has outclassed many quality opponents not only during this tournament but throughout her career. One constant during her tennis journey has been her trusted Wilson racket, particularly the Wilson Blade range. She’s using the same at the ongoing French Open.

The Belarusian is currently using the Wilson Blade 98 V9 tennis racket. It has an 18×20 string pattern and weighs around 305 grams unstrung. The braided graphite and basalt combination helps to maintain greater control by improving the racket flex, which in turn leads to increased ball contact with the strings. This version of the model provides additional flexibility and stability without compromising on the swing.

Sabalenka has been sponsored by Wilson since her early playing days. Given her ascendancy to the upper echelon of the sport, her decision to stick with them has paid off. The newfound consistency in her game over the past two years has fetched her numerous accolades. She will aim to add another feather to her much-decorated cap with a triumph in the French Open final.

Aryna Sabalenka will be gunning to expand her collection of Major trophies with a title at the French Open 2025. She has three Grand Slam titles to her name, two at the Australian Open and one at the US Open. However, winning her first non-hardcourt Major won't be easy, with Coco Gauff standing in her way.

Gauff already cost Sabalenka one Major crown by beating her in the final of the US Open 2023. The latter will be keen to avenge that loss this time. She already beat her younger rival a few weeks ago in the Madrid Open final, and has won three of their last four matches since their showdown in New York.

A win in Paris would put Sabalenka on the cusp of completing the coveted Career Grand Slam. She will have an opportunity to complete the set with a title at Wimbledon next month, although her focus will be on her upcoming contest against Gauff at the moment.
