Rosmalen Grass Court Championships 2025 Day 3: Men’s singles and doubles predictions ft. Laslo Djere vs Mark Lajal | Libema Open

Day 3 (Wednesday, June 11) at the 2025 Libema Open will feature second-round clashes from the men’s singles and first-round action from the men’s doubles. First-round matches interrupted on Day 2 due to rain have been shifted to Day 3.

Seeded players like Hubert Hurkacz (5) and Jordan Thompson (6) will be in action on the men’s singles side. On the men’s doubles side, all the top three seeded teams of Neal Skupski/Michael Venus, Julian Cash/Lloyd Glasspool, and Matthew Ebden/Jordan Thompson will be in action.

Let’s take a look at some of the matches scheduled on Day 3 of the Libema Open


Nuno Borges/Luciano Darderi vs Zizou Bergs/Jesper De Jong

Borges had a good run at the Australian Open, where he reached the quarterfinals with Francisco Cabral. On the other hand, Darderi reached the semifinal at the Rio Open with Mariano Navone, losing 7-6 (3), 3-6, 5-10 against Marcelo Melo and Rafael Matos.

Zizou Bergs and Jesper De Jong have played one doubles match this season. The pair played at the French Open together, losing 6-3, 2-6, 3-6 against the pair of Nuno Borges and Arthur Rinderknech in the first round.

Borges and Darderi will be the favorites for the upcoming match, as both players have been in good form in their respective singles events.

Julian Cash/Lloyd Glasspool vs Jean-Julien Rojer/Bart Stevens

Julian Cash and Lloyd Glaspool, the second-seeded pair, will begin their campaign at the 2025 Libema Open with a first-round clash against Jean-Julien Rojer and Bart Stevens. Cash and Glasspool have been in terrific form in 2025, reaching four finals and winning titles in Doha and Brisbane. They reached consecutive finals in Miami and Monte-Carlo, losing against the teams of Marcelo Arevalo/Mate Pavic and Romain Arneodo/Manuel Guinard, respectively.

This is the first time Jean-Julien Rojer and Bart Stevens will be playing doubles together in 2025. Rojer reached a couple of quarterfinals in Rio and Chile with Francisco Cabral. Meanwhile, Stevens is in good form as he comes into the event, having won the title at the Helibronn Challenger with Vasil Krikov.

Being the set and in-form team, Cash and Glasspool will be the favorites for the upcoming match.

Laslo Djere vs Mark Lajal

One of the first-round matches on Day 3 at the 2025 Libema Open will see Laslo Djere take on Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal. Djere had his best moment in 2025, when he won the Chile Open, winning 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 against Sebastian Baez in the final. His last event was the French Open, where he lost 3-6, 4-6, 6-7 (6) against Alex de Minaur in the first round.

Mark Lajal has mostly played on the Challenger Tour this year. He reached the semifinal of the Oeiras 3 Challenger, losing 5-7, 5-7 against Alexander Blockx. At the Libema Open, he has won 6-2, 6-1 against Corentin Denolly and 7-6 (3), 6-3 against Reilly Opelka in the qualifying rounds to get into the main draw.

These two players have never met previously, but Djere will be the favorite as he is in form, having won a title on the Tour this year.

Jordan Thompson vs Gabriel Diallo

Sixth seed Jordan Thompson will begin his 2025 Libema Open campaign with a first-round clash against Canadian youngster Gabriel Diallo. Thompson's best result was reaching the quarterfinal of the Brisbane International, where he had to retire against Grigor Dimitrov. At the Libema Open, he began his campaign with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Aleksandar Kovacevic.

Gabriel Diallo had his best outing at the Madrid Open, as he reached the quarterfinals as a qualifier, losing 3-6, 4-6 against Lorenzo Musetti. At the Libema Open, the Canadian started with a 7-5, 7-6 (2) win over Aleksandar Vukic in the first round.

This will be the first meeting between the two players on the main tour, with Thompson being the favorite as he is the seeded player.
