The men’s doubles is also packed as three of the top-seeded pairs will begin their respective campaigns. Top-seeded pair of Nikola Mektic and Michael Venus and the third-seeded pair of Matthew Ebden and Jordan Thompson will be in action on Day 2.

This is the first time Ebden and Thompson are teaming up this season. Ebden has mostly played doubles with Joran Vilegen and John Peers this season, while Thompson has mostly partnered with Jason Kubler or Sebastian Korda.

Even though Ebden has not done well this year, Thompson reached the final of the BNP Paribas Open with Korda, losing against Marcelo Arevalo and Mate PaMate.

Meanwhile, Rithvik Bollipalli and Nicolas Barrientos have played multiple events together this year. The duo had their best moment when they won the Chile Open, winning 6-3, 6-2 against the Argentine duo of Andre Molteni and Maximo Gonzalez.

Being one of the top seeds, the Aussie team of Ebden and Thompson is the favorite to win the upcoming match.

Predicted winner- Matthew Ebden/ Jordan Thompson

The top-seeded pair of Nicola Mektic and Michael Venus will begin their campaign at the 2025 Libema Open by taking on the team of Theo Arribage and Marcelo Demoliner.

For Mektic and Venus, their best moment of the season was winning the ASB Classic, as they got a walkover from the team of Christian Harrison and Rajeev Ram in the final. They also reached the semifinal of the Miami Open, losing 6-2, 6-7 (4), 5-10 against Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic.

This is the first time Theo Arribage and Marcelo Demoliner are teaming up for this season. Arribage has mostly played with Guido Andreozzi this season, winning the Argentina Open with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 win over the Brazilian team of Marcelo Melo and Rafael Matos. Meanwhile, Mareclo Demoliner has played with multiple partners this season. However, the Brazilian is coming on the back of some good form as he won the Birmingham Challenger with Sadio Doumbia, with a 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 win over Diego Hidalgo and Patrik Trhac in the final.

Being the top-seeded pair, the team of Mektic and Venus is the favorite for the upcoming match.

One of the first-round matches at the 2025 Libema Open is an all-Belgian clash between Zizou Bergs and Alexander Blockx.

Bergs's best result in 2025 was reaching the final of the ASB Classic as a qualifier, where he lost 3-6, 3-6 against Gael Monfils. He also reached the semifinal in Marseille, losing 4-6, 4-6 against eventual champion Ugo Humbert.

Alexander Blockx has only played one main Tour-level match this year, which was a 6-7 (5), 4-6 loss against Corentin Moutet in the first round of the Miami Open. The Belgian player has played a lot of Challenger tennis, winning the Oeiras 3 event with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Liam Draxl in the final. At the Libema Open, he won 6-2, 6-0 against Max Houkes and 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (6) against Adrian Mannarino to enter the main draw.

This will be the first meeting between the two players, but given their current form, Bergs is the favorite for the upcoming clash.

Roberto Bautista Agut has not been in the best of form in 2025, as the Spaniard has had as many as eight first-round exits this season. His best result came at the Hamburg Open, where he lost 6-7 (4), 0-6 against eventual champion Flavio Cobolli in the quarterfinals.
