Rafael Nadal treats his wife, son & other family members to adorable getaway in Paris, weeks after French Open appearance

Rafael Nadal was seen enjoying a holiday at Disneyland Paris with his wife, Maria Francisca Perello, and their son, Rafa Jr., along with a few close family members after being honored by the French Open for his legacy at the tournament.

The Spaniard won 14 titles at Roland Garros, before retiring from the sport in 2024. His astounding success at the Paris Slam was commemorated by the French Federation of Tennis and Roland Garros, jointly rewarding him a plaque with his name at Court Philippe-Chatrier, in the presence of his greatest rivals and friends – Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

After this grand event, he stopped over at Disneyland Paris, where the iconic Disney character of Mickey Mouse was dressed up as a tennis player for the visit of the 22-time Grand Slam champion. They notably visited the Disney Music Festival and the new Disney Tales of Magic nighttime show.

Rafael Nadal, who is also expecting a second child with his wife, sent out an emotional message at the end of his family trip.

Rafael Nadal sent out a heartfelt message to Disneyland for organizing such a fun trip, which made for a perfect end to his trip to France, wrapping up the French Open events.

Speaking to Disneyland Paris, he said:

“A few days ago, I was extremely touched by the farewell I received at Roland Garros. I finished saying thanks you France and Thank you Paris and difficult to say more than that. Paris is always in my heart and as part of that Disneyland Paris has also been special."

He continued by saying that involving his family was such a special touch and a memory he would always keep very close to himself.

"The magical moment continued, and it had to be once again at one of my favorite places. Thank you for the great time you allowed me to have with my family to put a beautiful end to what, once again, was a very special moment for me,” he added.

Nadal is a doting father and was also grateful to witness his son's first time exploring Disneyland with amazement.
