“Luka on that LeBron diet program” – NBA fans react to Luka Doncic’s offseason grind in the gym

As great a player as Luka Doncic is, there have always been some concerns about his health and work ethic. There was discussions that the Dallas Mavericks traded him to the LA Lakers because of that and cited his lack of commitment on the defensive end of the floor.

The lack of defensive pedigree was evident down the stretch in his first season with the Lakers, as he was often targeted on defense and looked exhausted down the stretch.

The Slovenian superstar must be ready to prove the doubters wrong, as shown in multiple clips and pictures circulating on social media. Doncic seems to have shed plenty of weight in the past couple of weeks, and he’s hitting the gym pretty hard.

With that in mind, several fans took to X to share their honest thoughts on the new-look Doncic.

Doncic is one of the most talented players in NBA, and getting into top shape in the offseason might unleash a whole new version of him.

Ripple effect of Luka Doncic trade could lead Jason Kidd to the New York Knicks

It's been months since the Mavericks traded Doncic, but the ripple effect is still palpable.

The New York Knicks are reportedly keeping tabs on Jason Kidd's situation with the organization, and according to a report by James J. Edwards III of The Athletic, the Mavs coach might actually welcome a move out of town:

“Kidd didn’t always enjoy being Dallas’ spokesperson in the aftermath of the franchise trading Luka Dončić, per league sources. In a Feb. 10 game against the Kings, Mavericks center Daniel Gafford got hurt.

"In the middle of the injury crisis, multiple fans were also ejected for protesting the Dončić trade. Kidd didn’t address the media afterward.”

Kidd has obvious ties to the Knicks, as he played for them in the final stretch of his career. The Knicks might need to give Kidd a hefty deal to convince him to move.

Also, with Cooper Flagg most likely arriving in Dallas, Kidd might be tempted to stay in Texas for a little longer to coach yet another generational talent.

As for Doncic, he looks like a man on a mission, and that should be a scary thought for the rest of the league.
