Jimmy Butler was seen hanging out with Colombian icons Sofia Vergara and J Balvin on Saturday. Singer J Balvin celebrated his 40th birthday, which was on May 7, at the 11th-century Tuscan castle. Apparently, the Golden State Warriors star has close ties with the Colombian singer as he was invited to the belated celebrations based on stories from Saturday.
Despite the recent drama that took place in his career when the Miami Heat decided to let him go this season, Butler is known to be a fun guy. During J Balvin’s celebration, the tables turned for the Colombian singer as Butler sang him a song for his birthday.

Butler took to Instagram stories to post a picture of his attendance at a winery testing at a Tuscan castle. The place is also known as Castello di Velona, which used to be a medieval fortress built in the 11th century.

Erik Spoelstra vouched for Jimmy Butler despite messy Heat exit
The Golden State Warriors are now in their offseason after the Minnesota Timberwolves eliminated them from the 2025 NBA Playoffs during the Western Conference semifinals.
As Steph Curry was sideline after Game 1 with a hamstring strain, Jimmy Butler had to step us as the leader. However, it wasn't enough to lead the Warriors to the Western Conference finals.
Had Butler not signed an extension with the Warriors, it could've been his last game with Golden State before heading into free agency. However, the Warriors offered him a two-year extension worth $110,959,223 after signing him.
While it's no secret that Jimmy is a superstar, it's quite surprising that Golden State has a lot of trust in him, especially after what happened with the Miami Heat before the trade deadline.
Jimmy Butler's former head coach, Erik Spoelstra, vouched for him despite all the drama that surrounded his trade to the Golden State Warriors. Warriors coach Steve Kerr revealed that Spoelstra reassured him about Butler's personality.
“Erik Spoelstra told me immediately — he said, ‘He’s going to be great for you,'” Kerr revealed. “And I know Spo really well from the last couple of summers, and I trust him. I believed him, and he was right.”
With Kerr fully believing in Spoelstra's word, we're likely to see an improved duo of Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler next season. Once summer camp begins, the All-Star duo will have the opportunity to work on their chemistry and hopefully have another deep run come the 2026 NBA Playoffs.
