Coco Gauff reveals her first wish upon arriving in New York after French Open triumph

Coco Gauff opened up about her first wish after reaching New York following her impressive French Open victory. This win marked the 21-year-old’s second Grand Slam title of her career.

A day after the triumph, Gauff reached New York and revealed her first wish after landing. She shared a selfie on Instagram story and wrote:

Coco Gauff also penned a heartfelt note following her title triumph, making her feelings about the victory known. Calling the experience 'insane', Gauff said she worked hard for the winning moment and advised her followers to never give up on their dreams.

"Wow. This means so much to me truly...french open champion🥹 I worked so hard for this moment and for it to have happened is insane. Thank you God♥️ and thank you everyone. this means the world... I'm still in shock, honestly can't find the words but all I can say for now is just thank you and never give up on your dreams🫶🏻," she wrote on Instagram.

After consistently working hard toward her goal, Gauff fulfilled her quest of winning the French Open. Following the triumph, she reflected on her past experiences and opened up about what this victory means to her. She uploaded a bunch of pictures of herself from the claycourt and wrote:

"Waking up and starting to realize it was indeed not a dream. Losing in the finals here 3 years ago had created a lot of doubt in my head. I thought I could never overcome the pressure, I thought holding this trophy would never happen. I thought my dreams were so close to happening but would never come true."

"So to be here…. means absolutely everything. The more I started to dig deeper into my thoughts, I realized deep down I didn’t truly believe any of those thoughts, deep down I realized that I can do it and I refused to let those thoughts consume me. the younger coco would have looked at me crazy because that girl never doubted a thing in her life especially when it came to tennis," Gauff added.
