Boasting 14-car collection, Luka Doncic teases adding $18.7m dream to his growing fleet

Luka Doncic just signed a very lucrative contract extension with the LA Lakers.

With his three-year, $160.8 million contract extension, he’s now signed through the 2028-29 season. Per Spotrac, he’s going to make $49.6 million next season.

However, that doesn’t mean he’s about to spend it all right away. In an exclusive interview with the Wall Street Journal, Doncic opened up about his love for sports cars.

When asked about his dream car, he revealed that he wants an $18.7 million Bugatti, but that might be a little too much, even for him:

"It's a Bugatti, but it's too expensive. So we'll see about that one," Doncic admitted.

Of course, he will still continue to add more pieces to his collection, just not that one. When asked about his next purchase, he proved to be a man of exquisite taste:

"It's probably Lamborghini," Doncic said.

According to a report by Basket News, his impressive collection consists of:

  • Apocalypse Hellfire 6x6
  • Koenigsegg Regera
  • Mercedes AMG G63 Brabus 800
  • Brabus Rocket 1000
  • Lamborghini Urus
  • Ferrari 812 Superfast
  • Porsche 911 Turbo S
  • Porsche Panamera 4
  • Porsche Electric Panamera
  • Audi A7
  • Ford Bronco (1967)
  • Chevrolet Camaro (1968)
  • Zastava 750
  • Rimac Nevera

Now that he's a California guy, he will most definitely get even more endorsement opportunities, so who knows? Maybe Bugatti will hook him up at one point.

Luka Doncic says he'll never get over Mavericks trade

Doncic hasn't been a Laker for long, and even though he's fully committed to the organization, he also acknowledged that he may never get over his trade from the Dallas Mavericks:

"I think it will always be strange," he said. "I don't know if someday I will have closure or not. For sure, it will always be weird."

The former Real Madrid star didn't see the trade coming, and it was an emotional moment for him:

"I didn't know how to react, how to act, what to say," he added. "It was a lot of shock. I felt Dallas was my home. I had many friends there. The fans always supported me. I didn't want to upset Dallas fans. And I didn't want to upset Laker fans."

The Lakers have now made him the centerpiece of their project, and having him around puts them in a prime position for the post-LeBron James years.

His best years are ahead of him, so once it's all said and done, people might not even associate him with the Mavericks anymore at one point.
