She progressed to the final round, where she competed against Aryna Sabalenka and claimed the title with a 6-(7), 6-2, 6-4 win over the World No. 1.

Following this win, the American gave a winning speech, where she credited her family for her success, thanking them for their support. Along with this, she also shared a special message for her brothers, Codey and Cameron Gauff, stating that they inspire her. (as quoted by Straits Times)

“I’d like to thank my parents. You guys have done a lot for me, from washing my clothes to keeping me grounded and giving me the belief that I can do it. Coco Gauff opened her 2025 season at the Australian Open, where she reached the quarterfinal round and competed against Paula Badosa, who dominated the showdown with a 7-5, 6-4 win.
