“Put four people” – Luka Doncic gives dunk contest participant a hard time as judge despite jumping over 3 guys

Luka Doncic might not be known for dunking, but he appears hard to impress as a Slam Dunk contest judge. Doncic hilariously called out a participant on Sunday’s Jordan Brand event called “The One” in Los Angeles for dunking over “just” three people.

After spending Saturday splitting time in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Doncic was back in Hollywood to do some work for Jordan Brand. He was a judge at the Slam Dunk contest held, giving out a 10 after one of the contestants jumped over three guys and dunked the ball with authority.

But when asked after the dunk, “Luka Magic” jokingly said that he might be more impressed if the participant did it with four people.

"You gotta put four people," Doncic said.

Luka Doncic has been part of the Jumpman family since 2019, when he signed a multi-year contract with the Jordan Brand. Doncic extended his contract in 2023, with his signature shoe starting a year before. His new contract with Jordan Brand runs through 2029, though it would be surprising if the brand lets him sign with a different company.

It has been a busy offseason for Doncic, who has managed to get into the best shape of his career. He looked leaner heading into next season, with the LA Lakers overhauling their roster by adding players such as Marcus Smart and Deandre Ayton.

Doncic also signed a three-year, $165 million extension with the Lakers. He has turned into the franchise player for the purple and gold, with LeBron James having just one year left in his current contract. James has been linked to a potential trade away from Hollywood.

After signing his new three-year, $165 million contract with the LA Lakers on Saturday, Luka Doncic and some members of the franchise celebrated in Las Vegas. Doncic attended a Backstreet Boys concert inside the world-famous Sphere in Sin City.

The Lakers' superstar was accompanied by several of his teammates, coach JJ Redick, general manager Rob Pelinka, governor Jeanie Buss and future majority owner Mark Walter. They even got backstage and met the five members of Backstreet Boys.

Doncic is a huge fan of Backstreet Boys, whom he called his favorite band during an interview with ESPN's Malika Andrews last April.
