Watch: Ex-Laker DeMarcus Cousins goes after fans for disgraceful act of disrespect in public meltdown

DeMarcus Cousins is playing for the Mets de Guaynabo in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). On Tuesday, he suited up against rival Vaqueros de Bayamon. After he was ejected from the game, Cousins stormed off the court, prompting fans to react to his antics.

Fans cheered and whistled at DeMarcus Cousins as he walked off the court. Although most were rowdy, nothing out of the ordinary happened until the former NBA player flipped off the crowd. Once he did that, multiple fans threw food and drinks at him.

A few security people who guided the former LA Lakers star to the tunnel had to restrain him from going after fans. Cousins fell to the floor and struggled against the bodyguards once he got up. The protective eventually detail held up and herded the 6-foot-10 big man inside the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum to de-escalate the situation.

DeMarcus Cousins had an ugly exchange with a fan sitting at courtside. The encounter, which has gone viral, led to his ejection from the game.

The fan could be seen making a crying gesture at the former Denver Nuggets center. Cousins responded by grabbing at his groin before both exchanged the middle finger gesture. The basketball star shoved his hand at the fan, prompting another supporter to slap Cousins. Teammates had to intervene to reduce the tension.
