Coco Gauff touched by Iga Swiatek’s kind message for her & Carlos Alcaraz after their ‘mesmerizing’ French Open wins

Iga Swiatek recently reflected on her campaign at the 2025 French Open and included a sweet congratulatory message for the champions, Coco Gauff and Carlos Alcaraz. Gauff was touched by the Pole’s words, as evidenced by her grateful response.

Swiatek was chasing history at the French Open this year by attempting to become the first woman to win a fourth consecutive Roland Garros title. However, she fell short of her goal after suffering a 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-0 loss to Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals. Gauff then defeated Sabalenka 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4 in the final to clinch her maiden title at the claycourt Major.

Despite her disappointing exit, Iga Swiatek expressed pride in all the hard work she and her team had done in a recent Instagram post. The Pole also said she could learn plenty of important lessons from her campaign and told fans that she would soon begin gearing up for the grass season.

"Thank you Paris and @rolandgarros! It’s been an amazing time on and off the court with some great challenges and high quality matches. I’m very proud of the work we put together with my team and I definitely also learned some lessons. Every year in Paris gives me energy boost for the rest of the season and with that being said I’m starting my preparation to the grass season very, very soon," Swiatek captioned her Instagram post.

Swiatek also took the time to congatulate Coco Gauff and Carlos Alcaraz on their wins, praising them for the "mesmerizing" tennis they displayed in Paris.

"Congrats @cocogauff and @carlitosalcarazz for your 🏆 and guys…what an absolutely mesmerizing tennis we’ve seen from both of you. Wow," she added.

Gauff responded by thanking the Pole for her kind words.

"Thank you so much iga:)!," Gauff commented.
