“Vibes were great” – Coco Gauff shares delightful inside look into her fun celebrations after French Open triumph

Coco Gauff shared a video of the after-party scenes, sharing that she could feel the room spinning and the energy high. Gauff outclassed World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in two sets at the 2025 French Open finals.

Coco Gauff was the second-seeded at the 2025 French Open, dropping just one set on her way to the finals. She defeated surprise star Lois Boisson in the semi-finals to face Sabalenka, who was vying for her maiden French Open title after claiming a double feat in the Melbourne and New York majors in 2024. After a nervy start, Gauff claimed the title in two sets, recovering from the French Open final loss to Iga Swiatek in 2022.

The 21-year-old shared a video of the celebration scenes, grooving to the tunes of Lost by Frank Ocean. In her Instagram story, she let her hair down and sang, and shared that the red-lit room was spinning.

"For everyone asking how I celebrated, the room was spinning, Frank was playing, vibes were great"

The two-time Grand Slam champion recently shared a TikTok video, spilling the truth about what the winners get after a major win. She revealed that the trophy she won and posed with was not for her to take home. She instead brought a miniature version of the memento to add to her wall of fame.

"I just won a French Open for Rolland Garros, and this is the trophy that you guys see, the one that we take pictures with, do press, and all that. But actually, we don't get to take this home. This stays with the tournament, and I'm going to show you guys the one we take home. It's a lot smaller. So this is the one we take home. It's a mini replica of the trophy."

Coco Gauff also posted a reference picture to show the size difference.

Gauff has been an admirer of track and field athlete Gabby Thomas, who won three gold medals in the 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m relay events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The former shared an Instagram story, showing a piece of paper that had 'I will win French Open 2025' multiple times. In her caption, she credited Gabby Thomas for inspiring her with the manifestation pathway.

"ignore my handwriting but I saw @gabbythomas do this, had to do the same lol"

Coco Gauff also competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics but ended her bid after a 2R exit. However, she was chosen as the US flag-bearer in the closing ceremony.
