The conclusion of the French Open 2025 has impacted this week’s WTA rankings. Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka continue to occupy the top two slots. The American staged a comeback to beat her older rival in three sets in the final. She remains at a career-high rank of No. 2 with 8,083 points to her name.
Sabalenka maintains her stranglehold atop the rankings, though Gauff has gained on her with her victory in Paris. The Belarusian sits atop the summit with 11,533 points. Jessica Pegula and Jasmine Paolini are up next at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively with 6,483 and 4,805 points. The Italian remains a non-mover despite failing to defend her finalist points at the French Open.
Zheng Qinwen’s quarterfinal finish at the clay court Major pushes her up by two spots to No. 5 this week with 4,668 points. Mirra Andreeva remains a non-mover at No. 6 with 4,636 points. Iga Swiatek’s bid to capture her fourth successive French Open crown ended with a semifinal loss to Sabalenka.
Swiatek fell by a couple of places to No. 7 as a result, bringing her points tally to 4,618 as well. She has dropped out of the top five for the first time since February 2022. Madison Keys (No. 8, 4,484 points), Paula Badosa (No. 9, 3,684 points) and Emma Navarro (No. 10, 3,649 points) round out the top 10.
Amanda Anisimova, Ashlyn Krueger among the players to attain new career highs in this week's WTA rankings

Amanda Anisimova's fourth-round showing at the French Open 2025 secures her a new career-high ranking of No. 15 in this week's WTA rankings. Fellow American Ashlyn Krueger too rose to a new career high of No. 33. However, the biggest gainer this week is Lois Boisson.
The Frenchwoman stunned everyone to make the semifinals of the French Open on her Major debut. She ousted two top 10 players, Jessica Pegula and Mirra Andreeva, before falling to Coco Gauff. She's up by nearly 300 spots to a new career peak of No. 65.
Hailey Baptiste registered her best-ever outing at a Major with a fourth-round appearance at the French Open. She's up by 12 places to a new career high of No. 58.
Some of the other notable players to achieve new career milestones this week include Jaqueline Cristian (No. 49), Sonay Kartal (No. 50), Maya Joint (No. 51), Yuliia Starodubtseva (No. 67), Victoria Mboko (No. 91) and Robin Montgomery (No. 95).
