How much prize money did Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, & others earn after French Open 2025 SF exit?

The top two seeds will contest in both the men’s and women’s singles finals at the 2025 French Open. While Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff are set to play in the women’s final, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are ready to battle it out in the men’s final.

On the women’s side, Sabalenka and Gauff got the better of Iga Swiatek and Lois Boisson in the semifinals, respectively. The Swiatek-Sabalenka faceoff was one of the anticipated matchups of this year’s Roland Garros, as the three-time defending champion faced off against the top-ranked player in the world.

In a match that swung to and fro, the two players split the first two sets, but the Belarusian raised her game by a level and a half, winning the final set 6-0 against a player who had a 40-2 win/loss record at Roland Garros coming into the match.

On the other hand, Coco Gauff ended the French fairytale story of Lois Boisson with a dominant win, with the American losing only three games in the match.

The two losing semifinalists, Swiatek and Boisson, pocketed a hefty sum of €690,000 ($784,983) for their semifinal runs at Roland Garros. While for the Pole, this amount of money was nothing new, the French player almost quadrupled her career prize money with the fairytale run at her first stint at Roland Garros.

Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti took equal prize money after their SF exits at the French Open

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner won against Lorenzo Musetti and Novak Djokovic, respectively, in the semifinals to reach the final at the French Open. As the prize money for men and women is equal at Roland Garros, Djokovic and Musetti netted the same €690,000 ($784,983) for their semifinal runs.

The match between Alcaraz and Musetti started on a fabulous note, as both players played a high level of tennis, splitting the first two sets, but it ended tamely. Musetti was injured in the third set and could not play a competitive match anymore. The Italian could not win another game in the match, ultimately retiring two games in the fourth set.

On the other hand, in a battle of generations, World No. 1 Sinner dispatched three-time Roland Garros champion Novak Djokovic in straight sets. The Italian was dominant for the first two sets, but the veteran Serb tried to make a comeback in the third set, and had multiple set points to close it out. However, Sinner was not to be denied, as he held his serve and nerve to win the third set in a tiebreaker.
