Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian hit back at a troll with a witty comeback, as they claimed that no one watches women’s sports. The Reddit co-founder has been a strong advocate for the upliftment of women’s sports and has made investments worth millions to support his cause.
The conversation kickstarted with a clip of the tech mogul appearing on social media, where he spoke about how women’s sports were just as marketable as men’s, and he understood that from his past investment at the Angel City FC. He also added how his success with the NWSL team led him to buy stakes at the famed Chelsea Women’s soccer team, speaking at the Forbes Iconoclast Summit.
However, a user posted a comment under the post on X and wrote:
"No one likes women’s sport."
To this, Ohanian fired back quickly with a Nike T-shirt made in collaboration with Togethxr, a women's sports-focused media company, which has the quote "Everyone watches women's sports" written on it.
Serena Williams also takes great interest in her husband Alexis' endeavors and was present to cheer on Chelsea, along with their daughters Olympia and Adira, at the Wembley Stadium, as they lifted the FA Cup, just days after Ohanian announced the news of his investment.
Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian's women's sporting ventures

Serena Williams, along with her husband Alexis Ohanian, has successfully invested in prominent endeavors throughout their lives for the upliftment of women's sports.
Ohanian made a multi-year 'transformational' donation to his alma mater, the University of Virginia's women's basketball program that would allow the institution to involve more women from various backgrounds into the program without having to worry about the finances.
In addition to his investments in Angel City FC, which he sold off to the owners of Walt Disney Company in 2024, and the newly added Chelsea Women's soccer team, he has also provided a notable push in women's track and field. Through his capital investment firm 776, he has also founded his passion project, Athlos, which has the largest prize purse in women's track and field, commencing in 2024.
Williams, on the other hand, has recently joined Larry Tanenbaum as a part-owner of the first WNBA team from Canada, the Toronto Tempos. Besides, the couple has also invested in Tiger Woods' golf league, TGL, by owning the Los Angeles Golf Club team.
